All You Need to Know About Aphelion
With Aphelion launching soon (April 28!), we’ve compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the game. If you have a question that we haven’t answered here, feel free to go and ask on our social media channels.

When will Aphelion launch?
The game will officially release on April 28th, 2026, at 10AM CEST on Xbox and 11AM CEST on PS5.
What age rating is Aphelion?
Aphelion is rated PEGI 16, ESRB M, and USK 12.
Will there be different editions?
Yes! If you pre-order the game on consoles (for a 10% discount) or buy it within the first day of release, you’ll get the Day One Edition as thanks for your support. It contains the game and a cosmetics pack with 2 spacesuit variants and 6 backpack accessories. The stickers and keychains reference the ESA collaboration and fan-favorite DON’T NOD games, Jusant and Lost Records: Bloom & Rage.
There is also the Pioneer Edition, which is a physical edition for PlayStation 5 that you can pre-order now. It’ll be released July 2nd and comes with an exclusive Hope-01 sticker version of the mission patch created in collaboration with the European Space Agency – the same patch that Ariane and Thomas wear on their spacesuits in-game!
How long is the game?
The game is around 8-12 hours long, depending on how completionist you are.
Will the game have a photo mode?
Yes! And we’d like to see aaaaaalll the pretty pictures of Persephone.
Does the game have any content or trigger warnings?
Yes, Aphelion explores sensitive topics, including death, blood and injury, mild body horror, and psychological distress.
